About Abigail Pepin, MD
My decision to become a physician grew from the intersection of my curiosity about science and my desire to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. I have always been fascinated by the physics of radiation, but it was not until I joined a radiation oncology clinic that I saw how those principles could be translated into something much more meaningful: helping patients with cancer. I saw how radiation could not only treat cancer but also relieve pain, restore function, and help patients return to the activities and people they love. Ultimately, I was drawn to the opportunity to combine the latest technologies with human connection. My philosophy of care centers on understanding each person’s goals and values. I strive to partner with patients to develop a plan that is both evidence-based and aligned with their wishes. Clinically, I specialize in the treatment of cancers of the genitourinary tract. My research focuses on using novel techniques to personalize radiation therapy delivery, optimize cancer control, and preserve quality of life. Outside of work, you can find me exploring new restaurants, hiking, or reading.
