About Jennifer Torres Yee, MD, MSc

I am dedicated to advancing compassionate, equitable, and comprehensive cancer care for patients throughout eastern North Carolina. After completing my medical training at the University of Kentucky, I relocated to Wilson, North Carolina, with my husband to be closer to family, and I am honored to serve the community I now call home. My approach to care is grounded in clinical excellence, evidence-based medicine, and meaningful partnerships with my patients. I am committed to delivering personalized oncology care that recognizes each patient's unique medical needs, personal values, and life circumstances. I believe in taking the time to listen, educate, and support my patients throughout their cancer journey. I am also passionate about improving access to cancer care for underserved populations and addressing barriers that impact health outcomes. As a bilingual physician fluent in both English and Spanish, I strive to strengthen communication, foster trust, and help Spanish-speaking patients and families navigate complex cancer diagnoses and treatments with confidence and clarity. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, building and collecting LEGO sets, and becoming an active member of the Wilson community. I look forward to partnering with patients, families, and the UNC Health Nash team to provide exceptional hematology and oncology care close to home.
