About Janki P. Luther, MD, MPH

I chose to become a physician because I was drawn to the opportunity to combine science and problem-solving with the ability to build meaningful relationships with patients. I enjoy working with my hands, so the procedural aspects of medicine, and ultimately gastroenterology, were a natural fit for me. My approach to patient care is centered on ensuring that patients feel heard and understood. I want my patients to feel comfortable asking questions and to leave their visits with a clear understanding of their diagnosis and treatment options. My clinical interests include colon cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, general gastroenterology, and a variety of liver conditions. I also have a particular interest in anorectal and pelvic floor disorders, including the use of anorectal manometry in their evaluation. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my husband and our two boys. As a family, we love exploring new places and spending time outdoors, and one of our goals is to visit all of the U.S. national parks together.
