About Maria J. Franco, MD

I chose to become a physician because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through education, advocacy, and compassionate care. I believe in empowering my patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take an active role in their health, and I enjoy partnering with them as they work toward improved endocrine health and overall well-being. As an endocrinologist, I care for adults with a wide range of endocrine conditions. I have a particular interest in diabetes, metabolic health, comprehensive weight management, thyroid disorders, and women's endocrine health. My approach to care focuses on understanding each patient as an individual and developing practical, evidence-based treatment plans that align with their unique needs and goals. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, running, and enjoying the outdoors.
